1. VISOPARTS Commitment

Visoparts - Acessórios Para Semi-trailerques, Lda (hereinafter VISOPARTS), in the context of its duties, processes personal data, intending to ensure with accuracy, effectiveness and security the protection of all data that daily collects and processes.

Please read this Privacy Policy which describes how we treat your personal data and how you can exercise your rights as the holder of personal data processed by VISOPARTS.

2. The controller and the Data Protection Officer

Within the scope of its activities and tasks, VISOPARTS is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of personal data, which are processed and stored in an automated and non-automated way.

VISOPARTS has a Data Protection Officer (or Data Protection Officer), who can be contacted by e-mail at epd@visoparts.com.

The Data Protection Officer shall, in particular, monitor the compliance of the activities involving the processing of his or her data with the applicable legal and regulatory standards and shall be the contact point between VISOPARTS and the National Supervisory Authority, as well as between VISOPARTS and its customers and users in matters relating to the processing of personal data.

The set of information which may lead to the identification of a particular person is identifiable, in particular by reference to an identifier (such as the tax identification number or the telephone number).

From whom do we collect personal data?

Due to VISOPARTS' duties, the majority of data are processed from legal persons (companies and associations). However, for the performance of its tasks, data of the following types of natural persons (non-exhaustive list) may be collected and processed:

  • Employees of VISOPARTS;
  • Employees of clients;
  • Employees of Suppliers and Service Providers;
  • Job applicants and trainees;
  • Participants in events promoted by VISOPARTS;
  • Visitors to the VISOPARTS facilities.

What personal data do we process and how do we collect it?

VISOPARTS only collects data that is appropriate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed.

The collection of your data can be done orally, in writing (including through forms and contracts), as well as through the VISOPARTS website. As a general rule, we directly collect your data and personal data may also be collected through public sources (such as Internet sites and official public lists).

For the execution of different purposes, we may collect the following types of personal data:

  • identification data (such as name, place of birth, citizen’s card or date of birth);
  • contact details (such as mobile phone, address or e-mail);

Why and on what basis do we use your personal data?

All data collected and processed by VISOPARTS are based on one of the following conditions of legitimacy

  • Consent: When the collection is preceded by your express, specific and informed consent, through written support or via the web. We collect your consent, for example, for purposes related to commercial contact, subscription of newsletters or registration in actions promoted by VISOPARTS.

We list here the main purposes that justify the collection of personal data by VISOPARTS

  • Management of events promoted by VISOPARTS;
  • Contracting for supply and service contracts;
  • Dissemination of newsletters / publications;
  • Physical Security of Facilities and Personnel.

5. Period of retention of personal data

VISOPARTS processes and stores your data only for such period as is necessary for the continuation or completion of the purposes for which the processing is intended, in compliance with the maximum time limits necessary to comply with contractual, legal or regulatory obligations.

As a general rule, and when there is a contract that legitimizes the processing of your data, VISOPARTS will maintain such data as long as such contractual relationship is maintained. Other circumstances exist, such as compliance with legal or regulatory obligations (for example, for the purpose of fulfilling tax obligations, personal data relating to invoicing should be kept for a maximum period of 10 years from the practice of the act)as well as pending legal proceedings, which may legitimise that your data is stored for a longer period of time.

At the end of the retention period, VISOPARTS will proceed to the deletion of these data.

Right to Limitation: Right that allows you to suspend the processing or to limit the processing to certain categories of data or purposes.

Right to Portability: right through which you can request the sending of your data, in digital format and commonly used, that allows the reuse of such data. Alternatively, you may request the transmission of your data to another entity that becomes responsible for the processing of your data.

Right of Opposition: the right that allows it to oppose certain purposes and provided that there are no legitimate interests that prevail over its interests. One example of this right concerns opposition to direct marketing (marketing) purposes.

Right to Withdraw Consent: a right that allows you to withdraw your consent, but which can only be exercised when your consent is the only condition of legitimacy.

How can you exercise your rights?

All the rights described above may be exercised, with the limitations provided in the applicable legislation, upon written request, to be sent through the email protecao.dados@visoparts.com.

You can also send questions related to the processing of your data, directly to the Data Protection Officer, through the email epd@visoparts.com.

It may also lodge any complaint with the National Supervisory Authority.

7. Transmission of data

Who do we share your personal data with?

Taking into account the duties of VISOPARTS, and depending on its purpose, your data may be shared with third parties, including national and international public bodies and private entities for the purpose of complying with legal or regulatory, contractual or public interest obligations.

Your data may also be accessed by VISOPARTS service providers, which are deemed necessary for the execution of the above purposes, in particular as regards information security and archiving services. VISOPARTS ensures that it uses only service providers who provide the necessary and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

Transfers of personal data outside the EEA

VISOPARTS may exceptionally transfer your personal data to third countries (outside the EEA - European Economic Area).

In such cases, VISOPARTS will ensure that data transfers are carried out in strict compliance with applicable legal standard.
